Reformer, chair and barrel — measure the room and check spring replacements
476 products · price checked on 11/02/2026
Measure the room before choosing a model. A reformer is about 8 ft (2.4 m) long and needs walking space on both sides; a cadillac also needs ceiling height. Equipment that does not fit comfortably ends up used for half of the exercises.
The springs are what wears out and what gives progression. Check that the manufacturer sells replacements and that they follow color-coded loads: a cheap imported reformer sometimes does not, and prescribing by color stops working in your studio. Upholstery and pulleys wear too; ask whether parts are sold separately.
