What defines a therapy laser is its wavelength. Red light, around 660 nm, stays superficial: wound healing, skin, mucosa. Infrared, from 808 to 904 nm, goes deeper and is the one for tendon and joint pain. A unit with both probes covers the whole clinic; with only one, you picked half of your caseload at checkout.

Look for the power in mW in the listing. Without it you cannot calculate the dose in J/cm², and without a dose the treatment can be neither repeated nor charted. Almost every therapy laser is Class 3B: protective eyewear has to come with it, for you and for the patient.
