Home exercise the patient actually does

Foam rollers often go home with the patient. Recording what was prescribed helps you follow up next session and understand why one improves and another does not.

What to look at before buying myofascial release

Criteria from someone who uses it with patients, not from someone who only sells it.

Smooth roller to start, textured for localized pressure. Density matters more than price: a roller that is too soft does not create enough pressure on a large muscle mass.

A release ball reaches the spots a roller cannot — the sole of the foot, the glutes, around the shoulder blade.
